Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is an actress and model. Following her debut in a feature film with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to portray the an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modeling after being offered by a professional photographer. The result was an enviable professional career as a model for commercials. Doody was extremely strict about not doing the glamorous work or doing nude. The rule was extended to Doody's acting work. Doody was offered a tiny role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after her name was picked by the director of casting. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking probably her most high-profile part in her career in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud named The Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokesperson and then was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 when she played a minuscule part on her role in the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards ceremony. Doody acted alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 TV movie adaptation from King Solomon's Mines and also was a part of a short titled Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet on the Holocaust as well as in the British TV show Waking the Dead (in a two-part episode named.
